EDEN has found a new home!

Posted on June 14th, 2011. Filed under: Articles, Uncategorized.

Thank you all for the outpouring of support, ideas and advice during our accommodation hunt.   We have looked into well over 40 different options in our hunt for a new home, and feel confident you will love our new place.

EDEN is delighted to announce it has found a beautiful new home at 395A Manukau Road in Epsom.  Click here for a map of our new location. And click here for driving directions from our old offices in Westmere to our new home in Epsom.

The space is not only beautiful, but comes complete with wonderful co-tenants, Mind and Body Consultants Ltd.  They play an important role in the mental health sector, with a mission dedicated to the development of a world in which all people can lead flourishing lives.  We are looking forward to living, working and playing alongside Mind and Body.

Although this is an exciting time of change, there is sadness for EDEN at saying goodbye to 1 Garnet Rd and the Family Therapy Centre.  EDEN has been so fortunate to live at 1 Garnet Rd for over a decade.  We feel so much gratitude for our time here.

If you have any stories about your visits to 1 Garnet Rd, we would love to hear them!  Click to email these.  To give EDEN a little housewarming gift – please click here.

We are fortunate to have committed, passionate people continuing to connect with EDEN and make valuable contributions to the work we do.

EDEN Agency Manager

This edition, EDEN farewell’s Theresa Peters from the Acting Agency Manager position.  Theresa joined the team at EDEN in January 2010 and leaves us to continue with her Masters study and related work in the sector.   EDEN also welcomed Deb Schwarz (nee Levy) into the role of Agency Manager in April.  Deb has been involved with EDEN since 2006, in the role of Youth Worker, in developing resources and programmes at EDEN, as a volunteer and as a facilitator.  Deb’s most recent studies were in Law and Sociology.  She has over a decade’s experience working, volunteering and consulting for community organisations, including as the Coordinator at Kidsline, student leadership, and being the Project Manager/Analyst for MacroAuckland.

EDEN Fundraiser

We have also had the pleasure of welcoming Erin Ajygin, EDEN’s new Vodafone Gem fundraiser, in May 2011, who is continuing the fundraising work of Amanda Bennett, who finished at EDEN in March.   Erin has been in New Zealand for just over a year now.  Her professional background is in refugee and mental health services.  Alongside her work at EDEN, Erin also works at Tai Ora Live Art Trust.
